Obituary
Mrs. Sophia Weber, 82, of 300 South Ninth street, resident of Burlington 81 years, died at her home last night. Born in St. Louis, Mo., she was the former Sophia Meyer, daughter of Magdalene and George Meyer and came to Burlington at the age of one year. She was married in Burlington to Otto Weber, a butcher, 61 years ago. He died Nov. 2, 1913. Mrs. Weber was a member of Bethany Lutheran church. After the death of Mrs. Weber's daughter, Mrs. Frank Spitzmueller in 1918, she made her home at the foregoing address with four grandchildren, Bernarda, Benedict, Magdalena and Almira Spitzmueller, continuing to reside with them unitl her death. Surviving besides these four grandchildren are: another grandchild, Mrs. Harry Wagner, Burlington; and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. .Otto Weber, Jr., of this city. Two great grandchildren also survive, Gary and Shirley Wagner of Burlington. Services will be held from the residence at 10 a.m. Saturday with burial in Aspen Grove cemetery. The Rev. R.R. Belter, pastor of Bethany Lutheran church, will officiate. The body will be taken to the residence from the Unterkircher funeral home late today.
