Obituary
Otto J. Boese, 45, a native and lifelong resident of Burlington, passed away at 9:30 pm last night in Mercy Hospital. Although seriously ill for but two weeks, Mr. Boese had been in ill health for a year and a half.
He was a trainman on the Burlington for about 22 years and was well known in a large circle of friends who will sincerely mourn his passing. He was born here July 8, 1885. In 1911 he was married to Grace Gunn and they made their home at 800 S. 10th Street. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are his widow; one son Robert, at home; his mother, Mrs. Lena Boese; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Williamson, Mrs. Herbert Ruth, and Mrs. Wilke Lee; two brothers, Walter and Fred Boese, all of Burlington. The body was removed to the Burnett-Wallen funeral home.
