Obituary
On Christmas day, while the world celebrated the birth of the Savior, death entered the home of one of Burlington's loyal citizens and called to his reward the head of the family, Mr. Jospeh Weber, of No.1508 Mt. Pleasant street. Mr. Weber was reared in Burlington, was well known by our citizens, and for many years had been a faithful and efficient worker at the West Burlington railroad shops. Combined with a bright and cheery disposition he possessed the gift of making and holding friends, and his death will be sincerely mourned by those who came to know him more intimately and cherish his sterling character. Especially hard was the blow to his immediate family and his parents. To the latter he was a loving and loyal son; their welfare was always first in his thoughts. His advie during trouble and his constant and loving attendance at the bedside during illness will be sorely missed by his parents and his family. Joseph Weber is dead, but his memory will endure and his reward in the beyond is assured. A strange coincidence is the fact that seven years ago Mary Weber, sister of the deceased was called by death on the same day he was summoned. The funeral cortege will leave the home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, and services will be held at St. John's Catholic church at 10 o'clock. The remains will be laid to rest in Aspen Grove cemetery.
