Gladys V. Weber, 70, 1004 Iowa, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, while shoveling snow at her residence. Police sent an ambulance to the home after a neighbor reported Miss Weber had collapsed near the steps of her home. She was dead when the ambulance arrived. She had been in failing health for several years and officials said death was apparently the result of a heart attack. Gladys V. Weber was born May 5, 1898, in Burlington the daughter of Oscar and Lizzie Ellerhoff Weber. She worked for Schramm's for several years before taking employment as a receptionist at the YWCA. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Royal Neighbors, Women's Fellowship and Women's Circle of the church. She was a member of the church's choir for many years. Surviving: Two aunts, Mrs. G. Heinlen, Sherman Oaks, Calif., Mrs. Anna Timmerman, Burlington; several cousins. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Prugh's chapel; Aspen Grove cemetery.
