Obituary
Fred Henry Boese, 1200 Oak Street, died in the veteran's hospital at Des Moines Saturday after an extended illness.
Born in Burlington March 31, 1887, he was the son of Fred and Caroline Boese. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, West Burlington In WWI he served with Company E, 33rd Engineers.
Surviving are 3 sisters and one brother, Mrs. WIlkie Lee, Earlville, Ill.; Mrs. Thayer Williamson, Mrs. HG Ruch, and Walter Biesem all of Tucson, Ariz.
Services will be held in St. Mary’s Catholic church Tuesday at 9:30 am. The cortege will leave Prugh’s chapel at 9:15 am. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The rosary will be recited in Prugh’s chapel Monday at 8:15 pm.
