The funeral services for Henry Williamson Waugh, who passed away last evening at 9 o'clock in his home, 1316 Perkins avenue, will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Grace M.E. church, Washington lodge No. I.I.O.O.F., will have charge of the services. Friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. Mr. Waugh gave up his work as a bookkeeper last January when he was taken ill, and his condition gradually grew worse until he passed last evening. Mr. Waugh was born in Dublin, Ireland, August 24, 1860, and was 60 years old. He came to the United States with his parents when he was 13 years old, and two years later the family moved to Burlington and this city remained his home. Being an excellent penmna, Mr. Waugh tried for and won the first prize for penmanship in the World's Fair held in Chicago. He was a graduate of the Elliott's Business college and a member of the Washington lodge, No.1, I.O.O.F., and of the Grace M.E. church. Miss Mathilda Zaiss and Mr. Waugh were united in marriage November 14, 1901. One child passed away when an infant and besides his widow the deceased leaves two sons, Harry H. Waugh and William J. Waugh, and one daughter, Miss Pauline Waugh, at home; four brothers, William V. Waugh of Omaha, Neb.; Arthur Waugh of Willets, Cal., and John J. and Davis B. Waugh of Oakland, Cal., and two sisters, Mrs. Perry Cooper of Crandom, Wis., and Mrs. L. Berkshire of Terre Haute, Ind.
