Obituary
Mrs. Chris F. Boesch passed away this afternoon at half past 1, at the family home, 1003 North Fourth Street. At her bedside were gathered the members of her family who reside in this city. Her death was not unlooked for as she had been a sufferer for many years from that dreaded disease consumption.
Her family and friends were surprised at the remarkable fortitude with which she bore her sufferings and her cheerfulness in her last sickness was remarkable.
Mrs. Boesch numbered her friends b the score, and she was universally esteemed and beloved. The family home was always a pleasant gathering place for her numerous relatives and the home gatherings were frequent.
On all sides, expressions of the deepest sympathy for husband and children are heard, in their great bereavement.
In all charitable work, Mrs. Boesch was a leader, and her sympathetic kindness to those in trouble or sickness will never be forgotten. She was a member of the First ME church.
Mrs. Boesch was born at Bielefeld, West Phalen, Germany, Aug. 30, 1835. She was married to Mr. Chris. Boesch in 1857, in Burlington. She is survived by her husband and seven children, four sons, Fred W ., Edward, Philip, and Walter, and three daughters, Ada, Emma, and Mary. All the children except Philip and Walter were at the bedside. Mrs. Boesch is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. George Kriechbaum, Mrs. John Roth, and Mrs. Charles Blanke.
Funeral services will be from the family residence, 1003 North Fourth Street, Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Friends invited.
