Funeral services will be held at Prughs chapel Sunday afternoon at 2:30 for Fred W. Watkins, colored, former Burlington resident, who died at his home in Chicago, Ill. Thursday night suddenly of a heart attack, He was born here Oct. 4, 1898, the son of George and Sarah Watkins. In 1920, he married Miss Lydia Mathews in Chicago. He had been employed by the Montgomery Ward and Co., there the past 20 years. Surviving are: his widow; his mother, Sarah Watkins, living in Burlington: one brother, Tracy Watkins, a half brother, Carson Martin, and a sister, Miss Ethel Watkins, all of Burlington. The body will arrive in Burlington Sunday afternoon, being taken to the chapel. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
