Mrs. Sarah Ann Watkins, 78, colored, 1024 Brooks street died at her home today at 3:45 a.m. She was born in Franklin county, Missouri, the daughter of Joshua and Katherine Bramble. She married George Watkins at Burlington Oct. 3, 1891. She was the mother of 10 children, three of whom survive-Ethel Watkins, Tracy Watkins and Carson Martin, all of Burlington; tow brothers, Bert Bramble, Alton, Ill.; a sister, Mattie Blue of Chicago. She was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Watkins died Sept. 5, 1933, and a son Fred died in Chicago June, 1938. The body is at Prugh's chapel, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, with interment in Aspen Grove cemetery. Friends are invited to attend services.
