Mrs. Ira Belle Washington died at 10:30 this morning at St. Francis hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Washington, whose home was at 540 South Eighth street, had lived recently with her daughter, the wife of Dr. J. E. Johnson, 714 Spruce street. She was born in Mazon county, Missouri Dec. 12, 1853. Her father and mother, two sisters, one brother and her husband preceded her in death. Surviving besides Mrs. Johnson are another daughter, Mrs.Edward Martin of Dubuque, Ia., two brothers, Thomas and James Yeiser of Canon City, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be made later. The body is at Prugh's chapel.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ira Belle Washington, who passed away April 6, 1937, at 10:30 a.m. will be held in St. John's Catholic church, Thursday morning at 9 o'clock. The cortege will leave Prugh's chapel at 8:45 o'clock. Friends invited. Interment will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
