Florence E. Washburne, 92, of 2020 Dill St. died 12:35 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 1988, at the Klein Unit of Burlington Medical Center. Born May 28, 1896, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Kendall and Jenny Hill Irwin. She married Lloyd H. Washburne Dec. 31, 1926, in Burlington. He died Jan. 29, 1947. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. Surviving are a daughter, Pat Frazier, Burlington; a son, William Washburne, Kiawah Island, S.C.; and five grandchildren. The graveside service for Mrs. Washburne will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Dodder officiating. Memorials have been established for the Klein Unit and the First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.
