Mrs. Mary Washburn, 78, resident of Burlington many years died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday in Burlington hospital following an extended illness. Her death was hastened by a fractured right hip suffered in a fall last Friday. The former Mary Miller, she was born in Missouri and married the late George h. Washburn Sept. 3, 1889. He was a prominent architect in Burlington for many years. Surviving are 2 sons, Frederick A. Washburn of San Francisco, Cal., Robert M. Washburn, Salt Lake City, Utah. There are 3 grandchildren. The body was removed to Prugh's chapel where funeral services will be held at a time to be announced later. Both sons are now in California and they plan to come here for the services. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
