Mrs. Evelyn Washburn, well known resident at the King's Daughters home for old people died in Burlington hospital at 3:15 o'clock this morning. She had been a patient at the hospital for several days undergoing an operation which failed to save her life. Evelyn Shirley was born in New York state, the daughter of DUdley G., and Alice Mann Shirley, March 6, 1855. She later lived in Ogden, Utah, but was a resident of Burlington for more than 40 years and was a well known milliner here for many years. Her husband, Frank Washburn, preceded her in death. She was a member of Christ Episcopal church where funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock, the cortege leaving Prugh's chapel at 8:45 o'clock. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Alice Little of Burlington and Mrs. B.F. Locke of La Cross, Wis.; and two brothers, Fred J., and William M. Shirley of New York.
Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Washburn, who passed away September 3, 1932, at 3:15 a.m. will be held in Christ Episcopal church, Monday morning at 9 o'clock. The cortege will leave Prugh's Chapel at 8:50 o'clock. Friends invited. Interment will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
