Edward Henry Boesch, 65, well-known resident of Burlington, died suddenly at his home, 917 North Fourth Street, Sunday evening and his body was found by his wife at 7:45 when she returned from spending a few minutes at the home of a neighbor. Mr. Boesch had been suffering from a slight cold but was not considered seriously ill. His death was attributed to heart attack.
Mr. Boesch was born in Burlington, October 19, 1686, the son of Christian and Louise Koestfield Boesch, natives of Germany, and spent all his life in this city. He was married here on April 25, 1906, to Bonnie Dee Shontz, of Burlington who survives him. He was identified with the John Boesch company for 30 years, having charge of the dry goods department, later becoming part owner of the Boesch-Flad company. For the past three years, he had not engaged in business. He was a member of the First ME church and the Woodmen of the World Lodge.
Besides his widow he is survived by his three brothers, Fed of Burlington, Philip of Elgin, Ill., and Walter of Fort Worth, Texas; and three sisters Mrs. Ralph Eggert, Miss Adina Boesch, and Miss Emma Boesch, all of Burlington.
Funeral services will be held at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock with burial in Aspen Grove.
