Mr. Roger Xenephon "Bob" Warth, 64, of Burlington died at 6:40 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013, at Danville Care Center.
Born July 22, 1949 in Iowa City, Iowa he was the son of Walter William and Lois Irene (Pugh) Warth. He married Ruby Helmick. Though they later divorced, they remained friends.
Mr. Warth worked at SSS Gray Iron, was a detailer at a car wash in Temple, Texas and also worked at a plastic factory in Bonaparte. He was of the protestant faith and enjoyed working on cars, fishing, mushroom hunting, playing and telling jokes and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his son, Tony Warth of Burlington; daughter, Melissa Nichols of Burlington; numerous grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Hesseltine of Burlington and Dorothy Helmick of Fairfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.
The family will receive friends from 9 until 10 a.m. Friday, August 30th, at Lunning Chapel.
The funeral service for Mr. Warth will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 30th, at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. David Mixon officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
