Clara Cornella Warren, 73, of N. Seventh street, widely known local teacher, died Saturday at 7:05 a.m. in Mercy hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Burlington, July 23, 1875, the daughter of Charles Greene and Harriet Marden Warren. She had lived all her life in Burlington except for time spent at school studying for the teaching profession. She was a life member of First Congregational church, a graduate of the music department of Grinnell college and a charter member of the Norman Circle of King's Daughters. Her life work was teaching in different lines. She patiently endured many years of physical handicap which proved no hindrance in her contacts with those who knew her. A sister, Gertrude Warren, survives. Her parents, a brother and a sister, Alice Warren are dead. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. In Prugh's chapel. rev. Bruce Masselink will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
