Obituary
Mrs. John A. Bockerman passed away at 4 p.m. Sunday at her home, 306 Denmark Street, at the age of 93 years and 10 days. She was born in Hanover, German, and came to Burlington in 1854 and lived here throughout the period of 68 years.
Catherine Louise Saunders was married in 1855, her husband preceded her in death in 1899. Their union was blessed with five daughters and one son, William, who removed to Tacoma, Wash., and died there in 1898, Mrs. John Timbs of Tacoma, Misses Anna, Ida and Mathilda, who have lived in Burlington all their lives and devoted themselves to the care of their mother. There also survive four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at three o’clock Wednesday afternoon from the family home.
