Milton Ernest Bock, 55, 2750 Sunnyside Avenue, died at 1:30 pm Sunday in Burlington hospital following an extended illness.
He was president and treasurer of Bock Nursery company, 2811 Sunnyside Avenue, and was the forth generation of his family to operate the business.
He was born in Burlington on Dec. 14, 1901, the son of Clarence and Myrtle Lay Bock. He married the former Florence Kratz in Burlington on Set. 19, 1923.
He was of the Christian Science faith; and was a member of the American Nurseryman association; Iowa State Nurseryman association; Iowa Rose society; Chamber of Commerce; Eagles and Elks lodges; Carthage Lake club; Cascade Boating association and Big Island Hunting and Fishing club.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. GOwn Cole, Emmett, Neb.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bock, Burlington; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at Prugh’s chapel 2 pm Wednesday. A Christian Science reader will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
