Funeral services for August Wanner, 75, oldest employe of the Chittenden and Eastman company, who died at Burlington hospital yesterday afternoon, will be held at 2:30 Thursday afternoon at First Evangelical church. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. Mr. Wanner was born in Schatgmund, Werttenburg, Germany, in August, 1856 and had been a resident of Burlington for 52 years. He was foreman of the finishing department of Chittenden and Eastman company and had been an employe of the company for more than 50 years. In recognition of this service he had been presented with a watch. He was married to Augusta Wanner in 1884 in Burlington. He was a member of First Evangelical church, Moose lodge and W.O.W. lodge. He had been in failing health since last Thanksgiving. Besides his widow, Mr. Wanner is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John Walters and Mrs. George W. Fahlgren; and one son, Arthur F. Wanner, all of Burlington. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body is at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home.
