Mrs. C.R. Wallis of Pasco, Wash., formerly Miss Tillie Gieselman of West Burlington passed away at Laurel Beach sanitarium at Seattle, Wash., Sunday evening, August 7th. Mrs. Wallis had been in failing health for some time and recently submitted to an operation from which she failed to rally. She is survived by her husband C. R. Wallis her mother, Mrs. Mary Gieselman of West Burlington, five sisters, Mrs. Minnie Smith, Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Augusta Hanseon, Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Anna Hagerla, Mrs. Emma Musser and Miss Mary Gieselman of West Burlington. Miss Gieselman was born May 29, 1880 at West Burlington where she lived until her marriage with C.R. Wallis in 1908. Since then she has been a resident of the state of Washington. She was an active member of the Methodist church at West Burlington. The remains will be brought to Burlington Friday and funeral services will be held from the home of her sister, Mrs. Anna Hagerla, at West Burlington, the time to be announced later.
