Mrs. Selma D. Walker, 63, of New London, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Mercy Hospital, Burlington, where she had been a patient 2 days. A life resident of Des Moines county she lived mostly in the Danville and New London communities. She was the daughter of Silas and Louisa Distelhorst Walker, born Aug. 27, 1884. She married Walker, Feb. 16, 1910. Surviving are her husband, 3 sisters and 2 brotthers; Mrs. Rozetta Shreve, Washington; Mrs. Minnie Ward, Des Moines county; Rachel and Joe, both of Burlington, and Roy of Sioux City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the New London Methodist church, of which she was an active member. A short service at her home will precede the church rites. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery, Burlington. The body will be taken from McDonald funeral home to her residence Sunday afternoon.
