Obituary

Alfred Walker a son of William Walker Esq., died last evening at ten o'clock at the home of his father of inflamation of the bowels. Last Sunday young Walker went out to Leffler and returning in heated condition went into the river to bathe. The following day he was taken ill, gradually sinking until he expired last night. He was about thirteen years of age, intelligent, obliging and well thought of by his companions. The funeral will be held this afternoon at two o'clock from the family residence. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of a large circle of acquaintances in their grief for him that is gone.
