Mrs. A. James, No. 1102 South Fifteenth street, received word late yesterday afternoon that her father, W.H. Walker, had died in Davenport. News of this well known former Burlington man's death will be the signal for marked grief on the part of his scores of friends here. Mr. Walker was a native of England, and sixty-eight years of age. He lived in Burlington for more than thirty years having moved to Davenport only recently. He is survived by two daughters and two sons. They are Frank, of Chicago; William of Davenport; Mrs. A. James, of this city, and Mrs. J.G. Specht, of Marengo, IA . A step-daughter, Mrs. Charles Bowman and a step-son, Charles Walker, of this city also survive. The remains will be brought here for burial. The funeral announcement will be made later.
