Funeral services for Annabelle Woods Gross, colored, former Burlingtonian, who was murdered in Iowa City Thursday afternoon by James Campbell, negro, will be held at Prugh's chapel at 2:30 this afternoon. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. Mrs. Gross was born in Burlington, Jan. 25, 1900, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Woods. She had lived in Iowa City for a year. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Rose Woods of Burlington; two brothers, Harry Woods of Minneapolis and Albert Woods, Jr. of Burlington, and four sisters, Mrs. Julia Howard of Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Hazel Crawford and Mrs. Irma Kinnard of Burlington and Mrs. Viola Trosper of Iowa City.
*James Campbell was sent to Ft. Madison State Penitentiary.
