Katherine E. Waldin, 99, of the Elm View Care Center, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 1989, at the care center. Born July 13, 1889, in Gorin, Mo., she was the daughter of Jack and Imogene Hern Cleudence. She married Thomas H. Waldin June 21, 1923, in Burlington. He died Sept. 3, 1968. She was a homemaker. She had been a member of the Liberty Church, Williamstown, Mo. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Verlee Huppenbauer, Burlington; one sister, Mrs. Alice Anderson, Burlington; and two granddaughters. Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today and Friday morning at Prugh's chapel. A graveside committal service for Mrs. Waldin will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Gregg A. Donaldson officiating.
