Obituary
The body of Carl Waibel, resident of Burlington, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Scannell, in Aledo, Ill., yesterday morning, arrived in Burlington last night. Mr. Waibel was born in Baden, Germany. He came to this country in 1881. Funeral services will be conducted from the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. Lehman, 801 South Central avenue, at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Interment will be made in Aspen Grove cemetery. Mr. Waibel was a gardner and was employed by the Perkins estate here for 26 years. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. James Scannell of Aledo, Ill.; Mrs. John Scannell of Rock Island, Ill.; and Mrs. Albert Lehman of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. H. Weirle of Germany and Mrs. Carl Herzog of Chicago. His wife and a son, Fred Waibel, preceded him in death.
