Ralph J. Wagner, 41, manager and a director of the Burlington Fruit company, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday in Burlington hospital. He had not been in good health for several years, but his condition had not been regarded as serious until about 3 weeks ago. He was born in Burlington Dec. 6, 1903, the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Wagner, attended public schools here, and in 1919 entered the wholesale business with his father at the Burlington Fruit company. He married Goldie E. Sisco of Burlington June 3, 1931. Wagner was a member of Zion Evangelical church Eagles lodge, Carthage Lake club, United Commercial travelers, Traveler Protective association. Surviving are his widow; his parents; one brother, Lyman A. Wagner and a sister, Mrs. Edwin Sleater, all of Burlington. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Giles funeral home. Rev. Charles Schwantes will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
