Charles F. Wagner, 84, of 504 South Ninth street, retired South Hill grocer, who lived in Burlington practically all his life, died in Burlington hospital Sunday afternoon after several years of failing health. Mr. Wagner was born in Madison, Indiana, March 13, 1849, coming to Burlington the following year with his parents, who built one of the first homes on South Hill. For many years Mr. Wagner and his brother, Fred L. Wagner, operated a grocery store at the corner of Vine street and Central avenue, but he has been retired for several years. He never married and is survived by several nephews and nieces among whom are Florence and Laura Wehman of Burlington. Funeral services will be held in Unterkircher's funeral home tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock in charge of Dr. R.B. Blyth, with burial in Aspen Grove cemetery.
