Obituary

Mrs. Anna Rose Wagner, 77, 1517 Osborn, died in her home Wednesday morning after an extended illness. Born Jan. 20, 1878, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John and Lena Schworm. She married Arthur J. Wagner in September, 1898. She was a member of Zion Evangelical & Reformed church, Women's Guild of the church., Hawkeye natives society and Burlington Hospital Aid Society. Surviving are a son, Lyman, and a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Sleater, both of Burlington; three grand-children; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, two sons, five sisters and two brothers are dead. Mrs. Wagner, an ardent baseball fan, and her husband, were honored at Wagner night at Community field three years ago Community field three years ago for their support of the sport. Funeral services will be held in Prugh's chapel Friday at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. John Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
