Jacob F. Wagner died at his home No. 1304 North Central avenue, at 5:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. He had been ailing for a year, but the end was entirely unexpected. He enjoyed an auto ride during the forenoon, with members of his family and seemed to be in good spirits and feeling well. The funeral services will be held from the home on North Central avenue, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with interment in Aspen Grove. Friends are invited to these services. Jacob F. Wagner was a life-long resident, one of the oldest tinners in the city, and had been in business on his own account about twenty years, making very encouraging progress. He was honest as the day is long, treated everybody right and was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends and acquaintainces. Jacob F. Wagner was born at Madison, Ind., May 29, 1851, a son of Nicholas and Mary Wagner. When he was one year old his parents came to Burlington and this city remained his home and in the common schools fo the city, he entered the employ of George Kriechbaum, and learned the trade of tin-smith, continuing at his trade to the end of his days. On March 1, 1902, he established his own business on North Sixth street and had been enjoying increasing success from year to year. On November 30, 1875, Jacob F. Wagner was united in marriage with Amelia C. Vogt, and to them have been born eleven children. Six of these preceded the father n death. He is survived by the widow and the following children; Walter, Arthur, Edward, Mrs. Edward Mower and Mrs. High Agnew. There are six grandchildren. He is also mourned by a sister, Mrs. E.A. Florang.
