Bertha Louise Berges, 68, of 1814 ½ Highland Avenue, died Tuesday at 5:45 am in Mercy hospital after an extended illness.
She was born in Burlington, Sept. 4, 1880, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman H. Berges and had lived here all her life except for 10 years spent in Monmouth as a young girl, with her parents. She was a longtime employee of the old John Boesch company here and a member of First Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Surviving are a sister, Elza at home; a brother, CH Berges of Burlington; 4 nieces and 2 nephews.
The body was taken to the Burnett Wallen funeral home.
