Obituary

Word was received yesterday of the sudden death of Mrs. Laura Stockman Waddell at Chicago, who was a former resident of Burlington. Mrs. Barbara Stockman, of South Tenth street, is the mother of the deceased, and received a letter and a Christmas gift from her daughter yesterday morning. Shortly afterwards a telegram arrived, stating that Mrs. Waddell had died suddenly. The deceased is survived by her husband and two children, and the following brothers and sisters: Charles and Henry Stockman, of West Burlington; William Stockman, of this city; Edward Stockman, of Des Moines; Mrs. Theodore Landhauser, of Burlington; Mrs. Louis Cook and Mrs. Minnie Bonn of West Burlington and Mrs. Martelle, of Butte, Mont. The announcement of the funeral arrangements will be made later.
