Mrs. Della E. Waddell, 91, of 1200 Franklin, died Wednesday, oct. 15, at St. Francis Continuation Care Center. She was born Feb. 12, 1889, at Ft. Madison to Peter and Phoebe Mattson Privia. She married Walter Northup Jan. 5, 1906, at Ft. Madison; he died Mar. 1, 1952. She married Charles Waddell Nov. 10, 1921 at Kahoka, Mo.; he died in 1945. She was a member of the Catholic church. Surviving: Two sons, Raymond and Walter Northup, both of West Burlington and daughter, Mrs. Ruby Campbell, Burlington; six grandchildren and five great-grand-children. Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday, Lunning chapel, Fr. Louis Mulligan; Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial has been established to St. Mary church.
