Marguerite E. Wachutka, 89, of Burlington Care Center, died at 2;35 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at the care center. Born Oct. 26, 1913, in West Burlington, she was the daughter of Paul and Lessie Huston Bult. On Dec. 30, 1931, she married Roy Wachutka in West Burlington. He died Oct. 14, 1987. Mrs. Wachutka owned the Lincolnville Cafe and Wachutka Catering with her husband. They also catered at Champion Spark Plug noon and night. She worked for Kreske's, Schramm's and Smig. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in West Burlington. She enjoyed bowling and fishing and loved to sew and crochet. She also baked her famous pies at the Lincolnville Cafe. Survivors include two sisters, Betty Patton of Glendale, Calif., and Arlene Ferguson of Burlington; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to the time of service Friday at Lunning Chapel. There will be no family visitation.
