advance to State. After retirement, Jim served one year as guidance counselor at Union and at Yorkwood, Illinois High Schools and fourteen years
administering the ASVAB test to potential military recruits at the Middletown Reserve Center and National Guard Armory in Burlington.

Mr. Chubb volunteered with Burlington Steamboat Days, SnowBull, and dragonboat races, and donated thirteen gallons of blood to the area blood bank.
He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was overjoyed to see them win the World Series. He cheered for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Bears
and Cubs. Of course, Jim was an ardent Grayhound and Iowa Hawkeye fan. A lifelong hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed spending time at Crystal Lake
and Carthage Lake Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Anita, and sisterinlaw Bess Chubb.
