Obituary

Mrs. Hattie Charlotte Youngstrom, mother of Ernest Youngstrom, county recorder, passed away Wednesday evening at 6:45 o'clock in the home of her son, 111 North Gunnison street. She was the widow of the late Gustave Youngstrom, and she came to Burlington to make her home in 1892. The family came to Burlington from Sweden several years earlier and settled in Henderson county, Illinois. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran church and had scores of friends in Burlington who will mourn her passing with keen regret. Mrs. Youngstrom is survived by four sons, Andrew and Fred, of Denver, Colo; Elmer of Aurora, ill.; and Ernest C. Youngstrom of Burlington, She also leaves a brother, Gust Carlson, of Red Oak, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. John Bennington of Dallas City, Ill., and Mrs. William Johnson of Hillsboro, Iowa.
