Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta Ruth Lemon, who was found dead yesterday afternoon in the gas filled kitchen of her home at 1800 Whittier street, will be held at Giles chapel at 3 p.m. Friday. the Rev. Jerome Miller to officiate. The body was to be taken to the home of Mrs. W.R. Lemon, 505 N. Eighth street, late today and will be returned to the funeral home about 11 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Lemon was born at Salesbury, Mo., Oct. 7, 1916, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Murphy, now residents of Keytsville, Mo. She was united in marriage with Ferrell Lemon in Burlington in October, 1935. Surviving are her parents; her husband; two children, Ronald Ray, 3 1/2 years old and Richard Allen, 3 weeks old. Also, surviving are four brothers. W.D. Murphy, Miami, Fla., Clarence, Kenneth and Keith, all of Keytsville, Mo., and three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Gaines, Mrs. Allen Greason and Marilyn Murphy, all of Keytsville, Mo. The baby, Richard Allen, who was in the kitchen with his mother where all four jets of the gas stove were open, was affected by the gas but appears to be getting along all right, it was reported today.
