Obituary
Fred Weiss, a well known farmer of Des Moines county, died this morning at the home of his brother-in0law, Mr. Silas Walker, five miles north of Burlington. The deceased was a veteran of the civil war and was a member of local post of the G.A.R. He had many acquaintances and friends in Burlington and Des Moines county, by whom his death will be sincerely mourned. He has a son and daughter residing in Cedar Rapids.
