Obituary
William H. Roberts, a veteran of the civil war, passed away this morning at 5 o'clock at his home 219 South Third street. He was born in Henderson county, Illinois, November, 8, 1844 and served during the war of the rebellion in Company E, Tenth infantry. He had been a resident of Burlington for many years. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. J.A. Jacoby of Burlington, Mrs. G.H. Smith of Martinsville, La.; A.C. Roberts of Davenport, J.M. Roberts of Peoria; Harry Roberts of Montrose, and W.F. Roberts of Burlington. The funeral announcement will be made later.
