Henry L. Young, retired farmer, died at 8 a.m. today at his home, 901 N. Central avenue, after a serious illness of six days. He had been in failing health for several years. Mr. Young was born in Benton township July 2, 1860, and moved to Burlington 18 years ago. He was married Oct. 1, 1885 to Martha Schmidt in Benton township. Mr. Young was a member of Bethany Lutheran church. Surviving are: his widow; a son, Herbert Young, Burlington; one daughter, Mrs. Will Hohmbraker, Sperry, Ia.; two brothers, August Young of Sperry, and Will Young of Mt. Pleasant; and three grandchildren. Funeral services have not been arranged. The body is at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home.
