Mrs Martha Young died suddenly of a heart attack at her home, 901 N. Central avenue, at 4 a.m. today. Mrs. Young had been in failing health for some time. She was born in Germany Sept. 2, 1866, and came to the United States with her parents when a small child. The former Miss Schmidt, she was married in 1885 to Henry l. Young. They lived on a farm in Benton township until moving to Burlington 18 years ago, Mr. Young died Feb. 7 of this year. Mrs. Young was a member of Bethany Lutheran church. Surviving are two children, Mrs. Will Hohmbraker, Sperry, and Herbert Young of near Burlington; three brothers, Otto Schmidt, Charles Schmidtk and Albert Schmidt, all of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Venghaus, Burlington, and Mrs. John Nesius, Sperry and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The body will be removed to the residence on N. Central avenue Friday afternoon and returned to the funeral home Saturday morning.
