Obituary

Mrs. Minnie C. Young, 1308 North Eighth street died at the Burlington hospital Sunday morning at 9 o'clock after an illness of seven months. Mrs. Young was born in Burlington Sept. 22, 1868 and was a life resident of this city. She married John F. Young June 24, 1896, he preceding her in death in 1929. Mrs. Young was a member of the Zion Evangelical church, of the Ladies Aid and Missionary society, secretary of the church and a member of the Hawk-eye natives auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Harrison of Wilmington, Calif.; one son, Norman F. Young of this city; one sister, Mrs. C. Swallow of Burlington; one brother, Phillip Jacquinet, of Rock Island, ill., and two granddaughters, Jacolyn Alice and Judith Ann Young of this city. Three sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Zion Evangelical church, preceded by private services at the home earlier in the afternoon. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery with Rev. A.F. Koelling officiating. The body is now at Burnett-Wallen funeral home and will be taken to the residence Wednesday morning.
