Edward Edison Young, 300 S. Central avenue, retired division engineer of the Burlington railroad here, died Saturday in Burlington hospital after an illness of 5 weeks. He was born at Panora, Ia Oct. 13, 1879, the son of the late Charles and Cynthia Young of Des Moines. He married, Etha Mae DeHague Sept. 18, 1907, who died Jan. 5, 1943. He married Mrs. Ada Eland March 29, 1944. Surviving are his widow, 4 step-children, 4 step-grandchildren, and a brother who lives in Chugwater, Wyo. There are 3 nieces and 2 nephews. The body was removed to Giles funeral home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
