Obituary
Thomas G. Young, 69, 1800 Des Moines avenue, died at Mercy hospital at 7:25 a.m. Thursday, following a long illness. Born Oct. 9, 1886, in Des Moines county, he was the son of George and Virginia Wykert Young. He was married June 16, 1908, to Blanche Hinson, of Burlington. Young was of the Methodist faith. He was a former employe of the Iowa Southern Utilities company and retired two years ago. Surviving are his wife; two sisters, Mrs. W.H. Kamman and Mrs. Charles Caster of Burlington. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Prugh's chapel and burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
