Charles Yenger, 51, native of Burlington and resident of this city all his life, died at 1 o'clock this afternoon in the state hospital at Mr. Pleasant where he had been a patient for three weeks. He was taken to the state institution from St. Francis hospital where he was confined for two weeks following a lingering illness. Mr. Yenger was born in Burlington, September 18, 1887, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Yenger. Until two years ago he was employed as a laborer at the basket factory. He made his home with his brother John, at 228 South Fourth street. Surviving are two brothers, John Yenger of Burlington and Joe Yenger of Davenport, and six sisters, Mrs. Ed Leidig and Mrs. George Bloomer of Burlington; Mrs. Rudolph Koerner of Danville, and Mrs. George Surr, Mrs. Fannie Menne and Mrs. Annie Nelson of Peru, ill. The body was brought to Burnett-Wallens funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
