Mrs. Edith Belle Beard, 510 S. Garfield, life resident of Burlington, died in Burlington hospital at 1 pm Saturday. She was the widow of H. Ed Beard, well-known resident.
Born in Burlington Nov. 26, 1869, her maiden name was Edith Jenkins. On Feb. 24, 1893, at Denver, Colo., she was married to H. Ed Beard.
Surviving at 2 children, Harold E. Beard, Burlington, and Mrs. Edythe Gerdes, Burlington; one grandson; one sister, Mrs. Orville Sanford, Denver, Colo.; 2 brothers, Jim and Joe Jenkins, Denver, Colo.
Services will be Monday at 3:30 pm at Prugh’s chapel. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
