Violet L. Yanson, 73, of Elm View Care Center, died at 2:05 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Burlington Medical Center. She was born June 14, 1913, at LaHarpe, Ill., the daughter of Ben and Pearl Bundy. She married Oscar J. (Torch) Yanson on Sept. 20, 1940, at Kahoka, Mo. He died on Oct. 13, 1968. She was a retired employee at I.A.A.P. and ran the Pine Knot Room at the Hotel Burlington. Surviving are on son, Raymond Chick, Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Nagel, Basco, Ill.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Prugh's Chapel. Services are at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Pate officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the First Christian Church.
