Luke Yakle died this afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joe Lyons, 814 N. Eighth street, with whom he made his home. Suffering a stroke a year ago, Mr. Yakle had been an invalid since then. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, Ia., Feb. 22, 1866, and on Feb. 19, 1891, was married to Clara Pixley, Mt. Pleasant. Surviving are four children; Mrs Lyons with whom he had made his home here for 20 years; Webster Yakle, Mrs. Ed Nelson and Frederick J. Yakle, all of this city, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His wife died last August. Services will be held at Prugh's chapel Monday, at an hour to be set later. Friends may call there, or telephone for the time of the funeral.
