Obituary
Arthur Yager, employed as a carpenter by the Burlington railroad for 25 years, dropped dead yesterday morning at 11;45 o'clock while at work at the West Burlington shops. He resided at 318 Swan street, West Burlington. His death was caused from heart trouble. Mr. Yager was born in Burlington, April 29, 1877. He was married in 1901 to Miss Paulina Schultke, who survives with two sons, Clarence Yager of Galesburg and Virgil at home; a daughter, Mrs. Vera Dannies of Burlington, and one brother, Fred Yager of Burlington. He is also survived by his father, John Yager of Dodgeville, Ia., and two granddaughters, Corinne May Yager and Dorothy Marie Dannies of Burlington. Mr. Yager was well known among shop employees. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical church of West Burlington, the Odd Fellows lodge and the M.W.A. lodge and also the Burlington Railroad Veterans association. His body was taken to Prugh's chapel.
