Obituary
Helen M. Zurawski, Dallas, Texas, died at Baylor hospital there on Wednesday night after a long period of ill health. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Zurawski, she was born in Le Mars. The retired nursing supervisor of the Texas hospital, she graduated from the John-Hopkins school of nursing in Baltimore, Md., received her public health degree from Columbia university, and had her first assignment in a settlement house in New York City. She was a staff member of the Tubercolosis association in Dallas and Houston, Texas before joining the staff of Baylor hospital, and at one time taught a vocational nursing course in high schools. Joining the hospital as supervisor of the outpatient department, she later served as night supervisor, day supervisor and an instructor in the school of nursing. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Luthy, Burlington, and Mrs. Florence Bauman, Vancouver, Wash.; and two brothers, r. Arthur Zurawski, Houston, Tex., and Dr. Arnold Zurawski, Burlington. Private committal services will be held Friday at Aspen Grove cemetery with Dr. Deane Chapman officiating.
